Childhood is the best part of life. Everyone wants to get back in the early days of life for many reasons, and I also own the similar opinion with the statement. I can remember, when I was a kid of 10 or 11 years old, I used to play regularly with my school mates after the school hours. We played a wide number of outdoor sports. I am glad to recall the days
I used to take part in some outdoor sporting activities after the school. Most of the times, I used to play cricket in the local school playground. The number of players was more than the spectators. So, it was a bit troublesome for me to handle everything as I was the captain of the class. I also used to take part in some other usual activities of children in Pakistan. Therefore, I had a very enjoyable childhood in that time
I used to participate in different types of games and sports for over two or three hours. In fact, our school began in the noon and ended at 4.30 pm. I used to play or take part in the activities till the sunset. So, I got around two or sometimes three hours. When the school was closed, the routine was changed to some extent and my parents allowed me to get out for only one hour in the evening. But on the other days, they did not forbid me about the outdoor sports and games. My father told me to be home by dusk and if I disobeyed him, I had to be punished. So, there were no chances at all to be out of home after the dusk hours
I used to participate in the activities around the school days. But the weekly holidays were the most boring period for me. I could not go out on that day and had to attend in some familial events. When the weekend was over, I used to get back again in the acts with my friends and mates. The events and feelings were similar to my friends as well. They all waited eagerly for the weekends to be over. Once we met in the school, all of us were happy and shout out loud in joy. In fact, those were the days when we all wanted a freedom and only the hours after the school gave us that desired thing. Sometimes, the children of some other classes also attended the sports, especially when it was cricket or any exciting inter-class football matches
I no longer participate in such activities for many reasons. Firstly, I have left my school for many years. In fact, I am a grown up male now and seeking my post-graduation admission in some foreign universities. Besides, I am trying to manage a job for me to support my expenses. Considering all the issues, it is impossible for me to participate in the activities. On the other side, being a grown up, my mental faculty has developed. Now I no longer find any pleasure in playing cricket, football or other outdoor activities. The games and sports have lost their appeal to me as they had in the days of my childhood. This is the change of time and I think the changes are natural too. This is my age to develop career and make a family instead of participating in childish activities
