Thank you very much for this nice cue card topic. To get to the details, it was all about creating a presentation and a subordinate of mine appeared before me. He was a fresh graduate from a local university in Greece. He was told to make a presentation on strategic planning for next six months for the company. And he was unable to make a presentation using MS PowerPoint
So, I had to teach him how to make presentations using PowerPoint slides. But he was a new to this and it took a long time for me to teach him the entire process. I had to repeat the same thing over and over again. Finally, after spending around two and a half hours, he understood how to make presentation slides with the software
Nicholas Andrew, the nephew of the managing director of the company in which I work in, was the person whom I taught the presentation. He looked smart in outlook but he was an empty vessel inside. In fact, he was arrogant and considered everyone as his subordinate – though he was the most junior in the office in all terms. Therefore, nobody liked him
Later, I came to know that Andrew completed the presentation. Though the base of his presentation was not so firm, he was able to make the matter clear. I suggested him to keep practising and he did so. In fact, he paid heed to me this time for his own betterment. And I was happy that I could have taught something to someone
