People say that a library is the storehouse of knowledge and the saying is perfect. Libraries are the places to earn knowledge and I frequently visit the National Library of Malaysia to get knowledge over different issues. I read different types of books for one hour in the working days in the library

The National Library of Malaysia is a public library and anyone can enter here to read books. The library is enriched with a large number of books on varied interests. The library has been set to provide knowledge to the present and the upcoming generations on diversified issues of the country especially its history and achievements. Presently the library is enriched with reading materials over 4 million units and a substantial number of the materials have been digitalized

The library is located in a prime location in the city and the physical address of the library is 232 in Jalan Tun Razak, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As the location is in the middle of the city, the library is accessible from every part of the city and remains open for the visitors and readers from 10 am to 7 pm. The library does not require any entry fee for its visitors. Besides, the seating arrangements are up to the mark and ample spaces allow the visitors and readers to read books comfortably. But as this is an area where people come to read, silence must be maintained here

This is one of the largest libraries of the country and the building itself reflects the symbols of Malaysian identity. The library is also the symbol of the enriched cultural heritage of the country. The interior of the structure is also wonderful and contains thousands of shelves which are filled with numerous books. The library proudly owns books and other documents around 4.78 million units and among them, 4.52 million units are printed materials. Besides, the library also contains some Malay Manuscripts which are old enough to be treated sincerely. The library has some digital materials as well to serve the purposes for its online users

The library is famous for numerous reasons and MS ISO 9001:2008 certified library in Malaysia. First of all, the library contains almost all the available histories of the country. Besides, there are some special, rare and serial collections are also available here. Anyone can have magazines, newspapers or any journals which are published by serial. By the same time, they would be able to use the handwritten documents of the 14th century. The rare collections are the combinations of documents which are no longer available in any of the available forms. The private collection of the library also attracts the visitors and different works on literature, religion, culture, architecture, history etc. are notable
