GOOD: Consumers are offered more and more luxury goods
To refer to a type or class of hotel, apartment, furniture, services etc, use luxury as a modifier: ‘a luxury apartment in the heart of London’, ‘luxury bedroom suites imported direct from Italy’, a luxury liner
Use luxurious to describe something that is very comfortable and expensive: ‘The car’s soft cream leather interior was extremely luxurious
BAD: Many people today do not consider a car as a luxurious thing
GOOD: Many people today do not consider a car as a luxury
a luxury = something that you do not need: ‘We can hardly afford to buy food, yet alone waste money on luxuries
